Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Consultant to serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams. This client-facing role requires outstanding communication and presentation skills, as well as a deep understanding of the retail industry, IT systems, and ERP solutions designed for retail.
The IT Consultant plays a key role in aligning the organization’s technology strategy with its business goals by designing and overseeing the implementation of comprehensive IT solutions. This position requires in-depth knowledge of software, infrastructure, security and data, as well as strong expertise in gathering business requirements and solving complex problems.
!Please Note: This role involves international travel to customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with business and technology stakeholders in the Finance and Colleagues domain to understand data needs and challenges;
- Translates business requirements into technical solutions for data acquisition, storage, transformation and governance;
- Designs and implements conceptual and logical data models for financial data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, scalability, and flexibility;
- Works closely with Product and Engineering teams to support the successful implementation and integration of financial data architecture;
- Creates and maintains key data artifacts, including finance data models and data lineage documentation;
- Partners with Product Owners to shape the vision and roadmap for data products;
- Collaborates with Product Owners and Business stakeholders to define solutions that align with desired business outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the IT or retail industries;
- Solid understanding of ERP systems and software solutions in the retail domain;
- Experience with ERP platforms such as Oracle or SAP is a strong advantage;
- Basic knowledge of IT architecture and the interaction of various components within enterprise systems;
- Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, and DevOps;
- Understanding of application implementation delivery frameworks (e.g., Oracle Unified Methodology, SAP Activate);
- Proficiency in modeling tools and notations such as UML, BPMN, and C4;
- Strong skills in solution design and problem-solving, with the ability to guide solutions through the full lifecycle;
- Excellent technical writing skills, with experience in creating standards, whitepapers, and technical documentation (“cookbooks”) to effectively communicate complex concepts;
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
