Senior Python Developer

The Role 

As a Senior Python developer at Sagesse Inc., you will play a key role in the development of our innovative mobile, web, and desktop applications. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will ensure the timely and budget-conscious delivery of high-quality software.

Your responsibilities will encompass the development of RESTful APIs, data ingestion algorithms, and containerized applications. You will contribute significantly to these projects, playing a pivotal role in optimizing and scaling our systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and developing RESTful APIs using FastAPI, known for its speed and efficiency.
• Creating and refining data ingestion algorithms and procedures to enhance data processing capabilities.
• Building and deploying containerized applications in Kubernetes environments, ensuring scalability and resilience.
• Optimizing code for performance, reliability, and maintainability to provide a seamless user experience.
• Contributing actively to technical decisions and architecture discussions, shaping the future of our systems.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience developing production-ready Python applications.
• Strong foundation in object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Expertise in API development and knowledge of best practices.
• Proficient in information security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization technologies (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to be detail-oriented and self-managing.
• Passion for learning and exploring new technologies within the Python ecosystem.

These additional skills will be a plus:

• Knowledge of Rust/Kotlin (a significant plus).
• In-depth understanding of Kubernetes.
• Experience with running machine learning models at scale.
