Senior macOS Engineer

• Our product helps to improve the quality of video calls in any apps (noise cancellation, changing the background for video, etc.) setting up a virtual microphone, speaker, and camera within Windows, macOS, and VDI.

• We are a remote-first, global team across US, Europe, Armenia, and Asia.

What you'll do:

• Building features for the macOS app. One of the current features - virtual camera.
• Low-level tasks - audio/video driver part: working with audio and video processing, virtual devices, Hardware Abstraction Layer, Device Abstraction Layer, etc. (if you have such experience)
• High-level tasks - business logic part.
• Design and architect for scalability and performance with software testability in mind
• Participate in product design and definition, bring your own ideas to the table, and are intellectually honest about the best ones
• Communicate efficiently and professionally with other teams and customers to demonstrate and troubleshoot your products. App performance debugging, performance optimizations

Tech stack: Swift, Objective-C, C++, Cocoa or UIKit, CoreMedia, HAL/DAL System, Audio/Video processing

Who we’re looking for:

Our ideal candidate:

• Experience with low-level part: audio/video driver, processing, plugins, etc
• Experience with virtual devices (virtual speaker, microphone, camera)
• Experience with development of macOS apps, deep understanding of how macOS system works
• Experience with Swift, Objective-C, and C++ (5+ years)

But we are also glad to discuss this vacancy with candidates who have:

• iOS development experience instead of macOS
• Experience with only one from two parts (low-level or high-level). In the case of a low-level position, experience with C++ is not strongly required.
• Doesn't have experience with video/audio
