Data Scientist

We are looking for a talented Data Scientist to join the London-based international team of an exciting young venture for gamers - the very first of its kind.

We want to bring your vision and talent to help us progress from an MVP to a fully functioning, consumer-facing digital product to unlock the potential of the world’s 2.5 bn game players.

Our product: an online service that enables gamers to make the most of and capitalise upon their in-game talent. It is an analytical tool, skills training content and signposting to learning and employment opportunities in a wide range of occupations.

Your mission:

• find correlations between gaming data and life skills/traits ---->
• create rule-based system based on correlations found (input: gaming profiles and survey questions; output: characteristics and recommendations)

Responsibilities:

• work with various web-API;
• parsing of web-pages (experience working with Selenium, etc);
• work with external databases;
• processing text files in various formats;
• creating and filling in the database;
• statistical analysis and machine learning of data.

Requirements:

• Python, at least 2 years of experience
• SQL, at least 2 years of experience
• HTML and HTTP
• Love for video games, incl online
• System and analytical thinking
• Creative problem solving
• Ability to work in a startup: small team, remote work, proactiveness
• Upper-intermediate English
