DevOps Engineer

About the requirements:

• Several years of experience as a DevOps or Systems Engineer (3 years minimum)

• Proven track record of successful systems projects

• Strong understanding of network fundamentals and security concerns

• Help develop/refactor the best possible continuous delivery/integration pipelines

• You feel comfortable owning complex systems

• Pragmatism

You'll need to fit in with the team and our business, so we are looking for these kinds of skills and personal qualities too:

• Strong propensity for research and investigation

• Willingness to learn and grow and improve knowledge of QA methodologies

• An ability to see individual tasks within the big picture

• Good written and verbal communicator

• Able to cope with managing multiple priorities

Nice to have:

• Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Chef or similar tools

• MongoDB

• Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar

• Grafana, Sentry

• NodeJs

• PHP/Python experience

• Experience with debugging tools like memstat, tcpdump, netstat, iostat, etc

• Experience with building APIs and services using REST, SOAP, etc.

• Strong systems administration skills in Linux

• Data collecting and processing: Kibana, Logstash, Beats, ElasticSearch

• Continuous Integration: Jenkins

• Continuous Delivery: Spinnaker

• Orchestration: K8S

• Service network/mesh: Istio

• Packaging tools: Composer, GIT, Yarn...

• Monitoring: NewRelic

• Security as Code and all related tools

• Understanding of the importance of smart metrics and alerting

• Working in an agile environment using test driven methodologies
