QA Specialist

IPONWEB is looking for a Middle QA Specialist, a person, who will be responsible for testing and troubleshooting of a proprietary JavaScript library, which we develop for one of our major clients. Additionally, our future colleague will have some tasks as a release engineer.

Role/Responsibilities:

• Manually test our product;
• Learn our domain quickly;
• Know how to troubleshoot different kind of problems;
• Develop, update and maintain quality testing standards and procedures;
• Participate in the coordination and execution of release testing;
• Update and improve release procedures;
• Determine and meet time estimates and schedules for testing efforts;
• Work closely with software developers to perform early testing on components prior to integration builds;
• Report QA status, as appropriate, to keep project stakeholders informed on deliverables and timelines.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Accountability;
• 1+ year(s) of professional QA expertise;
• Solid knowledge of the quality assurance techniques, testing concepts, methodologies and tools;
• Some knowledge of JS, Selenium and general browser Development Tools, meaning past JS development experience or active testing of a JS application (you’ll test JS lib mostly);
• Technical aptitude or background preferably;
• Experience with VCS: Git and/or Mercurial preferrably, SVN possible;
• Passion for building great software;
• Ability to be a team player and drive collaborative efforts to improve product quality;
• Very strong attention to detail;
• Ability to work to tight deadlines;
• English should be good in written communications at least.

Desired:

• Experience in working with automation servers Jenkins/Bamboo/TeamCity;
• Experience in writing detailed test plans;
• Experience in release activities.
