Senior Go/Ruby Engineer (Gateways Infra, Singapore)
Агентство / HR ресурс NEWHR ( new.hr )
Опыт работы более 5 лет
Location: Singapore ONLY. No relocation package available.
Format: Hybrid (office in Suntec City).
Employment: Full-Time.
About the Company/Product:
- A global B2B product company developing a powerful Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) that uses AI and machine learning to enable organizations to seamlessly connect data sources, cloud applications, and enterprise systems through low-code/no-code automation.
- The platform is trusted by more than 400,000 customers worldwide, including leading companies such as Visa, Goldman Sachs, Cisco, Amazon, HubSpot, and L’Oréal.
- The engineering culture emphasizes technical excellence, strong ownership, and close collaboration across globally distributed teams.
About the Role:
We are looking for several Senior Go/Ruby Engineers to join our Gateways team, which builds the platform's core gateway infrastructure across several directions: the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Gateway, AI Gateway, and API Management (APIm).
You will work across both MCP and AI Gateways, which overlap closely. These are the systems that sit between applications, AI agents, and model providers. Here are some of the exciting things you might contribute to:
- Building and evolving the core services of both gateways, not applications sitting on top of them.
- Handling the protocol side: dispatching model and tool calls, authentication and tenant isolation in a multi-tenant setup, and long-lived streaming sessions held open across real networks and load balancers.
- Keeping throughput and tail latency predictable — connection management, backpressure, concurrent processing — and when they slip, profiling the running service and fixing the actual cause.
- Designing the observability for everything you ship, including the AI-specific signals: latency per provider, tokens consumed, cache hit rates, cost per request.
- Working with PostgreSQL in depth: schemas, indexes, and queries that hold up as volume grows.
- Shipping into a live product that keeps moving: parts get redesigned and rewritten in flight, and each engineer carries their slice from design through production and keeps it afterwards.
- Shaping how the team works with AI tooling: agent-driven workflows, automated code review, internal utilities.
- Collaborating with the Infra/SRE teams on availability and scaling; architecture and code reviews.
Core Tech Stack: Golang, Ruby on Rails, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, modern AI tooling.
What You Have:
- 5+ years of experience shipping and operating production services in Go, Ruby, or both (preferably).
- Networking at a working level: what TLS does, what mTLS buys you and what it costs, how TCP behaves behind different types of load balancers, how the HTTP versions differ.
- Concurrency and profiling in practice: worker pools, queues, graceful shutdown, race-free shared state, and backpressure are more than just buzzwords to you — you can put a service under load, find the bottleneck, and remove it.
- Automation-first mindset: you know that hand-configured servers and manual deploys are not the way to go if you can help it.
- Working knowledge of how LLMs and agents behave in code: message structure, the system/user/tool split, tool calls, streaming, and a feel for what breaks when.
- Solid experience with AI coding assistants when the output is fully owned by you: you review what the model wrote, catch what it got wrong, and can walk a colleague through every line you merged.
- Genuine engineering curiosity — a "sit down and dig until it's understood" mindset.
- Autonomous and proactive attitude — comfortable owning a full stack slice end-to-end, surfacing problems without waiting to be asked.
- Good level of English — at least Upper-intermediate (B2).
For the Go track, additionally:
- You know the standard library well and reach for it before a framework: net/http, crypto/tls, context, goroutines and channels, the memory model.
- Real performance work behind you: allocation pressure, GC behaviour, lock contention, with pprof and flame graphs as normal working tools.
For the Ruby track, additionally:
- Rails in production at scale: tuning ActiveRecord doesn't scare you, and services you built perform fast under load.
- PostgreSQL in depth: isolation levels, avoiding deadlocks, index types, connection pooling, migrations on large tables, reading and repairing slow queries.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Kubernetes from a developer's angle: reaching a cluster, shipping manifests for your own services, port-forwarding through a debugging session.
- Hands-on MCP experience: servers or clients you built or integrated, transports, capability negotiation.
- Contributions to open-source projects.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science.
What We Offer:
- Top-tier engineering team.
- Competitive base salary + stock options.
- Hybrid work format (twice a week in the office) with flexible hours. Office location: Suntec City, Singapore (no relocation package available).
- Full-time employment with benefits.
- Comprehensive health plan (medical, hospitalisation, dental, maternity, and wellness).
- Flexible vacation policy and paid sick leave.
- Company-provided equipment.
- Annual education and development budget.
- Company-sponsored team-bonding activities.
