We’re looking for a part-time Data Engineer to help us collect, maintain, and visualize data across multiple internal systems. You’ll work closely with our product team to ensure that data flows seamlessly between services and that insights are always available and accurate.
Responsibilities
- Integrate and synchronize data from various internal and external sources via API.
- Maintain Python-based data pipelines running via cron.
- Ensure the performance, reliability, and consistency of data (monitor jobs, fix errors, add indexes, optimize queries).
- Build SQL queries and prepare datasets for dashboards and reports.
- Maintain and update dashboards in Metabase (and Google Sheets exports in the future).
- Set up and support alerting pipelines (Slack notifications, job monitoring, etc.).
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, System Administrator, Developer, or a similar technical role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (query optimization, indexes, joins, aggregation).
- Solid experience with Python (data processing, API requests, simple ETL scripts).
- Familiarity with cron or other scheduling tools.
- Understanding of how to move data between systems and keep it clean and fast.
- English: reading technical documentation and writing clear commit messages or comments.
Would be a plus
- Experience with Metabase or other BI tools.
- Familiarity with Google Sheets API or export automation.
- Basic knowledge of PostgreSQL administration (indexes, query plans, replication).
- Interest in blockchain infrastructure or web3 technologies.
