ETL Developer / Data Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes for seamless data integration and transformation.
• Conduct audits and provide support for internal databases; optimize and fine-tune existing API connections while implementing and maintaining new ones.
• Construct and manage data models and databases capable of efficiently handling large volumes of data.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval processes, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Develop scripts and tools for data processing, cleaning, and validation to ensure data quality.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to guarantee data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data requirements and devise solutions to meet their needs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an ETL Developer or Data Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and practical experience with Python programming.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, specifically Google Cloud, and exposure to big data technologies such as BigQuery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data challenges.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/orchestration tools, specifically Apache Airflow.
• Familiarity with Amazon products and stack (e.g., Amazon S3).
• Demonstrated proactive and self-motivated work ethic, ideally with a start-up orientation.
• Knowledge of stream-processing platforms, particularly expertise in Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and a comprehensive understanding of ETL processes.
• Knowledge of databases and data modeling concepts.
