Lead QA (Relocation to India)

About the job:

Monitors every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company standards. A software quality assurance engineer helps meet deadlines by breaking up the development process into attainable testing goals and relaying any issues back to the development and team leaders.

We’re looking for QA Lead to participate in the development of Merchant Account Team.

Responsibilities:

• Defining test plans and strategies
• Managing and mentoring a team of 3 people: evaluation, setting goals, hiring, onboarding etc.
• Maintaining test artifacts (test cases and checklists, bug reports, documentation updates)
• Providing test reports
• Calculating metrics and progress

Your experience and mindset:

• 3+ years experience as a QA lead
• Preferably IT degree (Computer science/engineering, System Analysis, Information Systems, IT management)
• English B2+

Requirements:

• Knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Experience in testing web applications (ui, backend, db) for at least 3 years
• Experience in working with test management systems and bug-tracking systems
• Experience in working with traffic sniffers
• Ability to flexibly schedule activities (not only personal but also team activities) according to 
  changing priorities
• Ability to convey your point of view clearly and competently (will be needed in 
  communication and task setting)
• Proactivity, i.e. taking initiative in decisions and the ability to take responsibility
• Results orientation
• Strong communication skills

It will be a big plus:

• Knowledge of JavaScript, Java
• Experience in writing automation tests
