Job Description 

We are actively seeking an experienced Symfony Backend Developer to join our team, specializing in payment technology and fraud mitigation solutions such as Ethoca and Verifi. The successful candidate will work alongside a software architect with many years of experience in payment solutions, focusing on building and designing applications tailored to our specific needs.

Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the design of our fraud mitigation platform with our software architect.
• Integrating the products offered by Ethoca, Verifi and other third parties into a unified API.
• Collaborating with a seasoned software architect to develop and enhance the application, focusing on improving development workflows, test coverage, and system upgrades.
• Constantly improving, maintaining, and upgrading a system built on Symfony to meet the latest industry standards and business requirements.
• Write comprehensive documentation for the codebase, APIs, and other technical processes, ensuring that the platform is maintainable by other team members.
• Regularly gather feedback from end-users and other team members and iterate on the application based on this feedback.
• Proactively monitor system health. Address bugs and system issues promptly, ensuring high availability and minimal disruptions to end users.

Qualifications:

• Strong background in software development, specifically with Symfony, and popular bundles.
• Experience with MySQL and SQS is a must.
• Experience designing data intensive applications is a plus.
• Previous experience with online payments is a plus.
• Previous experience with fraud mitigation solutions such as Ethoca and Verifi is a plus.
• Deep understanding of the online payment ecosystem.
• Proven ability to design and implement efficient and secure web applications.
• Knowledge of modern development workflows and a commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance.
