Senior Backend Engineer (Python)

PitchMe is a London-based HRTech startup building b2b solutions focused on reengineering the recruitment life cycle and solving the biggest challenges in talent acquisition. We automate sourcing, updating and shortlisting candidates to help recruiters find the best talent up to 80% faster. Our ATS integration automatically keeps candidate information up-to-date, enriches profiles with skills and experience from various sources, and identifies the right people for the role. Our mission is to give recruiters the data they need so that they can make the right hires at the perfect time.

About the role:

We have built a successful self-serve business and are ready to move towards larger deals. To achieve this goal, we are looking for a highly skilled and passionate Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key contributor to our growing product, you will play a crucial role in improving its functionality and ensuring an exceptional user experience for both our existing and new customers. We are looking for someone who is committed to using their expertise to make a positive impact on the product and who is driven to continuously learn and improve their skills.

What you'll do:

• Design and build new product features and service architecture
• Improve and support existing microservices
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to define key milestone deliverables
• Implement effective software development practices to meet product launch deadlines

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• 4+ years of professional experience in product software development with Python
• Experience contributing to the microservices architecture and design
• Experience with AWS, CircleCI and Heroku
• Upper-Intermediate/B2 English level

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, React
• Experience with Celery (gevent)
• Experience in implementing backend for Machine Learning models
