We are looking for a talented engineer to join our team for a full-time remote position.

Your job

Assaia International Ltd. is working on machine learning-based systems for international airports and airlines. We were founded in February 2018 in Switzerland.

Our main product, ApronAI, is a computer vision system that monitors and analyses aircraft servicing processes from video streams. The data that the system generates is used in real-time for monitoring, alerting, delay predictions, and also historically – for performance, safety analysis and decision making. Today there is a developed and continuously improved real-time system. There are several production and pilot installations running, with several upcoming big rollouts in preparation.

We are looking for a Support/Monitoring engineer.

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand how Assaia Apron AI works internally, to be able to identify issues and their causes.
  • Keep track of system metrics and alerts for running live setups of the system, implement easy fixes or escalate if needed.
  • Formalize and request implementing new metrics and alerts, update configuration of Zabbix or other monitoring tools whenever needed.
  • As a member of the IT team, provide technical support for our engineers: assist with data availability tasks, ensure uptime of internal services, etc. Help us to build an effective helpdesk process.
  • Automate repeating actions by scripting.

Requirements

  • Min 2 years experience in technical support or monitoring, or min 1 year experience in system administration.

Main skills:

  • Good Linux knowledge, ability to troubleshoot system-level issues, including networking-related.
  • Familiar with Docker, Git, Zabbix, Prometheus.
  • At least some experience with:
  • Scripting languages.
  • Cloud Infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
  • Good communication skills.
  • English: pre-intermediate and higher.
  • Finished degree in computer science or surrounding areas is a plus.
  • Experience with Kubernetes is a plus.
