Lead Android Engineer

We are looking for an Android Engineer to build a variety of services and products all powered up by decentralized digital identity. You'll be joining a team of ex. Snap and SoundCloud product leads, distributed between Los Angeles and Luxembourg. This is a rare opportunity to join the core team and lead all Android initiatives!

Some important details

• You are an experienced Senior or Lead Android engineer (this is your current job title).
• You've built and scaled consumer apps used by a large audience.
• You are able to cover full-cycle development: picking up the right architecture, handle dependencies, publishing to Google Play, testing, crash reporting and analytics. You'll be building the entire app from zero. This means picking up the right tech stack and making all decisions by yourself.
• You have a strong proficiency in Kotlin or Java, a decent understanding of cryptography and security of Android apps.
• You are ok with the fact, that the code will be published as an open-sourced at some point.
• You are comfortable with ambiguity. The project has a high level of unknown and a big portion of R&D. True ownership, self-management and professional maturity – things we value the most and things that are really important for this job.
• The team is small but mighty. We are distributed across EU and US. We all worked at well-known tech companies in the past, built our own projects and startups. This might be a good opportunity to join a small group of professionals and work in a mode that's a complete opposite of anything you've done before :)
• It's a remote position.
