Mobile Back-End developer with DevOps experience

We are a privacy-focused digital identity platform founded in 2017, providing a single point of access to everyday goods and services that require authentication and/or ID verification. Our product is a new way of signing in to apps and online services using your smartphone.

We are a start-up with a small team looking to expand our developer resource. We are looking to recruit high calibre software engineers that are motivated and driven to achieve excellence in the work they produce. They need to be good team workers with the ability to learn and pick up new skills as the product evolves and develops.

We have already built the core platform with apps on iOS and Android. There is further work to be done on the platform, but the main task ahead is to add new features and functions, which may include integration with third-party services. 💪 Who you are
Ability to learn more important than experience with particular language or framework
Knowledge and understanding of language-independent software concepts such as reuse, encapsulation, common design patterns
Interest in writing good code and tests

🛠 Skills & Requirements
Experience building and deploying scalable servers
Experience writing Java for servers using a lightweight app framework (i.e. Vert.X/Jetty/Spark)
Experience configuring and deploying highly scalable server/services to Kubernetes & a cloud provider
Experience writing tests at unit-level and higher levels
Understanding of security best practices
Bonus: experience with GCP, Dart, crypto
Bachelor's degree in software field or equivalent experience
English proficiency required

⚙️ Our Stack
Our primary product is a mobile app built in Flutter, which interacts through a bespoke rest-based API with our core server & other adjacent services. We also have a console that businesses use to configure their integrations with our system, backed by a server. It will be your responsibility to maintain those servers as well as build out & configure new services interacting with 3rd-party APIs. Our stack is focused on keeping our users' personal information secure at all times, and as such we take additional steps to ensure it is both stored and transmitted securely. Our services sit in a Kubernetes cluster which you will also help with maintaining.
