Для нашего нового продукта мы ищем разработчиков на Ruby on Rails и на JS (React framework). В идеале - и то, и другое.

Можем предложить как долгосрочный контракт с переездом в Канаду, так и удаленную работу.

Full Stack Developer (Ruby on Rails, React.JS)

At Evident Point, we work at the forefront of eReader development, making interactive digital textbooks and eBooks available to schools and to consumers who enjoy immersive reading on web and mobile devices. Our customer base is expanding rapidly, so we are seeking full stack developers who are eager to learn or innovate on the latest frameworks and techniques to solve various technical challenges such as web application scaling, security, and performance.

Our application is a standard Ruby on Rails app deployed through Docker. We currently use SQL databases (mySQL migrating to Postgres) and will be integrating Redis for performance enhancements. Our web assets are built with a mix of Backbone, React, SASS, TS, CSS, EJS Templates, JS, and HTML.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver maintainable, well-tested and structured code and documentation.
• Be able to work independently and resolve technical tasks with minimal guidance. This includes not only code but research and decision-making regarding best practices.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers to ensure team efficiency and provide mentoring as needed to more junior developers.
• Review pull-requests as requested and, more broadly, maintain a critical eye on system performance and security.
• Be able to compose and present comprehensive proposals during design tasks that outline options and assessments.

Basic Qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience
• 5+ years of software engineering, Web development, custom application development
• Excellent coding skills with server-side programming language (Ruby, Java, Go, Python, C++, C#)
• Front-end development skills (JavaScript, JS frameworks: React, Angular, backbone, HTML5/CSS3 familiarity)
• Experience building hosted products that handle large, distributed workflows
• Experience developing APIs and client libraries (SDKs)
• Experience with modern software engineering practices of unit testing, continuous integration, and deployment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ruby on Rails or any other MVC web service type framework
• Javascript experience (React or Angular is plus but not required)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQLite, etc)
• Specific JS frameworks (React, Angular, Backbone)
• Docker
