Senior Software Engineer Python

Full time remote, or relocation to Valencia, Spain. 

What’s the job? 

We are looking for a software engineer to join our team in providing solar energy for rural homes of sub-Saharan Africa. We make management software that allowed us to give electricity to more than 10,000 people in Tanzania, adding hundreds more every month. The software is a kind of specialized ERP that gives super-powers to agents on the ground and automate a lot of the necessary tasks to allow clients to get electricity on a “pay as you go” basis, meaning that they pay small installments that they can afford. 

We are looking for: Smart people

 ... who are software engineers with more than 5 years experience

 ... that follows good practices and agile principles

 ... who are independent

 ... and work well with others 

You should have some practical software architecture and database design experience and you should love testing. It’s also better if you are fluent in Python and have experience in Agile, TDD and DevOps. 

Bonus points if you can do UI/UX or data mining or if you’re familiar with the tech we use such as Flask, Git, Docker, Javascript and Vue. 

If you’re missing some of that and think you still have the chops, we say go for it. 

What’s the deal? 

You’ll need to have experience in working remotely, or move to Valencia, Spain (EU visa sponsorship is an option).
