Senior/ Middle Software Development Engineer

1. Development of multi-layer miscroservice-based applications for AliExpress.

2. Data analysis applications - dashboards, reports, analytical services.

We build an international team, and English is the business language in our Moscow office.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field

• 2~7 years professional experience as full-stack or backend developer

• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design

• Proficiency in Java SE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot

• Proficiency in Hadoop, Spark, Storm or other data-analysis engines, either batch or real-time

• Proficiency in MySQL or Postgres, HBase, Redis, Ehcache or other Java-based cache

• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS

• Able to communicate in English at work

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building consumer facing complex and highly-loaded software systems

• Experience working with Linux OS, common Java open source frameworks

• Experience using Kotlin language on the server side

• Big data analytics experiences in a large e-commerce company

• Knowledge of machine learning concepts, neural networks

• Experience using Eureka, Hystrix and other microservice libraries and working with microservice architectures

• Proficiency in Docker and basic concepts of container-based deployments

• Knowledge of best software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations

• Ability to work with ambiguity and deliver result in a fast-paced environment

Highly desirable skills (in one or more of the following areas)

• 2 or more years of experience designing and architecting highly concurrent and multitenant distributed systems

• Hands-on experience in market governance for billion dollar open e-commerce platform

• Experiences in large scale live data/service migration in an Internet scale company

• Experience in building core algorithms for recommendation systems, data mining, machine learning, or artificial intelligence

• Expert knowledge in network and data security, fraud detection or risk control

• Chinese language skills
