Site Reliability Engineer

Our IT department looks for a Site Reliability Engineer.

Responsibilities

The main responsibility of this position is ensuring IT department services are provided to internal and external clients in accordance with defined and agreed with SLA.

SRE Ops will:

•  

  Define services SLAs and agree with service consumers;

•  

  Ensure service satisfies agreed SLAs, policies and practices, define changes need to be made to service architecture in order to satisfy required SLAs;

•  

  Ensure service monitoring corresponds to defined SLA and has proper metrics, alerting - implement such monitoring if not;

•  

  Visualize service status in dashboards

•  

  React to monitoring triggers, Investigate and fix service issues and SLA violations;

•  

  Automate recurring tasks, develop scripts required for service management

•  

  Write services documentation

•  

  Administer internal IT part of IPONWEB infrastructure

Required skills and experience

•  

  Strong knowledge of Linux internals

•  

  Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks, load balancing, protocols, etc

•  

  Experience in setting up service monitoring and providing monitoring visualization

•  

  Experience in architecting, deploying and supporting services in AWS or GCE cloud environments

•  

  Working knowledge of bash and Python scripting

•  

  Experience with configuration management systems (Puppet / Chef / …)

•  

  Skills in investigating and solving of different Information systems issues

•  

  good written English
