Product Manager of internal IT services Company development services

PONWEB is looking for a Product Manager who will take over improvements to the services for the CI/CD process in the company.

We are looking for an independent, self-motivated, responsible person, who will act as product and project manager supporting the following services:

• Version control (Mercurial, Git);
• Code review (Crucible for now) ;
• CI (Jenkins);
• Artifacts storage and containerization (Artifactory);
• Packages management (Open Build Service/ APT)

As a product manager you will:

• Generate or search ideas inside/outside company how the services could be improved and what are the best practices;
• Determine high-level vision, development roadmaps and milestones to know what and when we expect;
• Discuss initiatives with stakeholders to be sure that implementations are necessary, fits internal processes but not crash them;
• Prepare business functional specification for the implementation team;
• Validate that functionality works as expected;
• Support employees regarding usage, available features, bugs, problems, etc.

As a project manager you will:

• Manage backlogs of the tasks by services;
• Agree on resources allocation with resource owners;
• Track the statuses of the tasks;
• Search for solution/answers in case of any problems or escalate them;

Primary requirements

• 2+ years of project and/or product management in CI/CD processes;
• Strong knowledge of VCSs (Git, HG);
• Strong knowledge of CI, CD solutions;
• Very good analytical skills, flexibility in problem-solving;
• Open minded, able to share and transfer knowledge and expertise to team members;
• Excellent communication skills (spoken and written English);
• Preferred (Bonus) Skills
• Experience in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes);
• Knowledge of the Ubuntu Linux
• Knowledge of the network protocols: HTTP(S), TCP/IP stack;
