We don't have a final text yet, and in the end, it may not be so bad. But, the EU does everything to push away AI companies, as well as tech in general. Why open a company and pay taxes here if you can open a U.S. corporation in a couple of weeks and get a Mercury bank account a week later? New regulations will affect companies that want to work exclusively in the EU or at a local level, at least increase operational expenses. And more importantly, if you want to go global, it's just too much hassle to think about all this when you're trying to keep a startup afloat. And I understand the good intentions to protect the EU population from situations where AI is used maliciously, but is there a request from voters? Or from companies? Where do these ideas come from?

Yesterday my new story appeared on the HackerNoon main page: https://lnkd.in/eskng3fc. Many thanks for Sidra Ijaz for the editorial review!🎉 It's dedicated to the topic of #software development #efficiency. First, I look at the existing story-points measurement approach and find it inappropriate for #continuousImprovement. Story points are easy to abuse, and they poorly match physical reality. It turned out that the object of measurement is not only intangible but almost invisible. To discover it, I cover the topic of the piece of work in the software industry and try to come up with unobtrusive but actionable essence. I write about two necessary characteristics of it. These characteristics are attachment to the actual time and repetitiveness. They are enough to discover the #flow of software development work. When we have a flow, a whole new world of #metrics appears. We receive a trace we can present with #diagrams and other tools. This trace allows us to discover the stable state of a #system and its weakest point, #constraint. #Lean view helps us convert the constraint into the non-constraint. At the end of the story, I sum everything up into the four-step algorithm. I reply to the common questions, examine the history, and explain why exploiting individual programmers is the poorest possible strategy. I hope you'll enjoy the #reading and find something useful. #Programming #Management #Deming #TheoryOfConstraints

Has never happened and here it is again. I have another position open on my team. We're looking for someone familiar with hardware and embedded software. The role will involve end-to-end testing of embedded software for electric vehicle chargers. This includes installing the device on the wall, setting it up through an app, checking that the firmware works properly, and ensuring that the backend receives the correct data. The team is based in Berlin, and we're open to relocating the right candidate. English language. We're having a lot of fun, I am the manager, what else do you need? :) #testing #hardware #software #qaengineer
