⚡ Here is a drop in the ocean of game company analytics)
I collected some information about companies that meet the following criteria:
- 🎮 Game development
- 🔗 Represented on LinkedIn
- 💡 There is a significant number of Russian-speaking employees (companies from Russian-speaking countries, or had offices there, or actively hired Russian-speaking employees)
- 🏢 Company size is 90 people or more (about 100 or more)
- 🌎 They are hiring outside of Russian-speaking countries
Of course, there are many more game companies that meet these criteria, but I have only collected 30 so far)
I added data on the number of employees (rounded to tens) and followers (rounded to hundreds), and introduced a LinkedIn community interest index for these companies, which I calculate as the ratio of the number of followers to the number of employees.
The logic behind the formation of this index is simple:
- 📈 The larger the company, the more employees it has
- 😍 The more interesting the company is to the community, the more followers it has
- 🆒 A kind of "Efficiency Ratio" or "Coefficient of Performance" (the ratio of Followers to Employees) - this is the Community Interest Index
What determines the interest of the LinkedIn community in a company:
- ⚒ People want to work there and subscribe to not miss insights and vacancies
- 😃 People are interested in the products that the company develops and supplies
- 👍 People are interested in the content that the company publishes
The information presented in no way can be used to compare companies (which is better or worse) - each has its own pros and cons, and it's simply unethical)
The information presented in the table will be useful:
- 😎 For company leaders and caring employees - to have a starting point for studying how interesting their company is to the community in digital comparison with other players in the market, and maybe pay more attention to developing their brand on this specific platform
- 🔍 For those who follow the game development market for different reasons (partnership, investment) - to choose winning strategies for themselves
- 🤠 For those who, like me, are looking for a job in game companies with possible relocation from Russia or Belarus - it's all clear anyway)
If you found this information useful or have anything to add, discuss or object - welcome to the comments and thank you for the likes and shares!)
If you saw a gross error in the data or know companies that meet the above criteria but are not on the list - feel free to correct me and add companies in the comments)
