Runa Capital is a global venture capital fund, having $500M+ under management and investing in early-stage US/EU startups, building B2B software, deep tech (AI/ML, open source, quantum, etc.) or software for regulated markets (fintech, edutech, healthcare). The fund was founded by tech entrepreneurs who created such companies as Acronis and Parallels.

We funded more than 100 tech startups since 2010, including Mambu ($5.5B last round valuation), Zopa ($1B), Nginx ($0.7B, exit), MariaDB ($0.7B), Ecwid ($0.5B, exit), Smava, Brainly and Bulgarian company OfficeRnD. Our partners are based in the USA, the UK, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Germany. Sofia is our emerging R&D center.  

We learned many valuable lessons on VC & startups and used this knowledge to build internal Runa Data Platform. It collect and process open data helping to automate deal sourcing, due diligence, and support our portfolio companies in various use-cases. Some of our public research works were published by Techcrunch.

We are looking for a Sofia-based Data Analyst to continue the development of our data platform and accelerate nurturing of data-based products for our venture fund, its portfolio and partners. 

Scope of work:

• Collecting and processing data from internal sources: Google Sheets, SQL, etc.
• Collecting and processing data from external sources: Crunchbase, Github, etc.
• Building dashboards & alerts in collaboration with our team and portfolio companies
• Conducting and publishing data-driven research

The results of the work will be used on a regular basis for consideration of new investments, search of promising startups, fund reporting, marketing, talent search and other use cases.

Requirements:

• Python and SQL knowledge
• English language (B2 or higher)
• Strong interest in tech startups and VC investments

Understanding of machine learning, working at investment funds and companies with a strong data culture, experience building dashboards with BI tools, as well as conducting your research and publishing it will be a plus. But a genuine interest in data and tech startups, combined with a strong desire to learn and grow as a professional, is way more important for us than any particular skills.
