Middle manual QA / QC

Access Softek is a software company headquartered in Berkeley, California. We are creating digital banking solutions: online banking (Orpheus) and mobile banking (Mobile Financial Manager). Today our 300+ employees are serving over 400 financial institutions and reaching over 3 million mobile banking end-users every month.

The quality Control Team is looking for an experienced Middle Manual QC Engineer who loves their job and is willing to make the world better, limiting the number of bugs. 

In this position, you will work in a friendly multinational team under a team manager in coordination with other departments at our company who will help you to get into the depth of Mobile Banking Applications and Web Applications, practice English speaking skills, and support you all along.

The Project includes many different interesting features related to actual banking transfers and reports and gives an opportunity to deepen your knowledge in the technical aspects of web and mobile application architecture and testing approaches. The main focus of the team is on the testing conducted on different platforms (web, Android, iOS), using mobile devices that the company provides.

An employee can modify their working day in order to visit all the meetings, but the majority of QC team members is working mainly in the period of 9 AM - 8 PM (GMT+2)

Responsibilities:

• Review & analyze business requirements to ensure that the requirements are complete, clear and consistent
• Take active participation in system-level testing activities: risks-based Exploratory testing, end-to-end System testing, Regression and Implementation testing on Web and mobile platforms
• High-level estimation of assigned tasks
• Creating checklists in TMS for Exploratory testing based on risk areas and priorities
• Updating user tours in TMS for System testing based on requirements
• Choosing the scope for Regression testing based on priorities and risks
• Choosing effective test coverage and scope for any required testing activity based on industry best practices and test design techniques
• Creating test cases and test cycles in Zephyr Scale TMS
• Review test documentation, created by colleagues, making suggestions of improvements (if necessary)
• Preparing test data and test environment (work with Bamboo, Octopus) for tests execution
• Reporting and analyzing test results (work with Confluence, Jira, Zephyr Scale)
• Defects reporting and work with bug tracking tool (Jira), defects supporting during life cycle
• Collaboration with team members (QC, PO, SM), inter-teams collaboration
• Work in shared services SAFe Team: active participation in ceremonies during the whole iteration cycle

Requirements:

• 2+ year experience on QC/QA position
• Experience in mobile applications testing (iOS and Android platforms)
• Experience in web application testing
• English level (speaking, writing, reading) - strong intermediate level
• Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks, ability to work independently
• Good knowledge of QC/QA process, terminology and methodology
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and SCRUM processes/roles, familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology
• Ability to learn new tools & technologies quickly
• Good teamwork skills
• Good communication skills (written and verbal), collaborative, organized and results-oriented person
• Experience in defect tracking systems and test tools
• Understanding of client-server application architecture

As a plus:

• Understanding of web technology stack (HTTP, HTML, CSS, JS)
• Experience in work with logs and analytics (Kibana, Charles Proxy, Fiddler)
• Experience in work with BDD
• Experience in work with DevOps tools (Octopus, Bamboo)
• Experience in working with a distributed team
• ISTQB certificate
