We're looking for

We are looking for a bright and motivated QA Engineer to join our growing team and take care of test activities within the exciting Web product in an insurance field. You will join one of the freshly established product teams at the very beginning of our journey as we’re building a new platform almost from scratch.

Your team will be Russian speakers, and some other departments will be English speakers. So you should have preferably competent knowledge of English to understand documentation and specifications. And also to write test documentation and reports in English.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with developers, designers, analysts, managers in a Scrum team.
• Test current products and identify deficiencies.
• Plan and coordinate testing activities, thoroughly identifying and documenting bugs.
• Suggest solutions to identified product problems.
• Investigate product quality in order to make improvements to achieve better customer satisfaction.
• Plan, create and manage testing documentation - checklists, test cases, etc.
• Collaborate with the Product Development team to ensure consistent sprint execution.
• Identify quality assurance process bottleneck and suggest actions for improvement.
• In-depth understanding of the full product development life cycle.
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.

Terms

• Service agreement and work remotely
• Payment in US dollars monthly
• Full-time 5/2 and Arabic work week Sunday-Thursday
• Vacation policy: Qatar Holiday Calendar, 28 days of vacation and 10 sick-day-offs
• Compensation for the purchase of courses and tools
• Performance review providing twice a year: March and September
• In the future the possibility of getting Qatar ID and employee relocation to Doha

Skills

• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer
• Experience with testing Web applications
• Rich experience in functional testing and test case creation
• Strong theoretical knowledge in Software testing
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience with a variety of different testing techniques
• Experience with software QA tools and processes
• Working knowledge of the general client-server architecture, IT-landscape, trends, and emerging technologies
• Critical thinker, and problem-solving skills
• Good time-management skills
• Great interpersonal and communication skills
• English lvl B1 - read project documentation, write test documentation, understand spoken English

Nice to have

• API testing experience
• Familiarity with Automated testing (specifically in Java)
• Experience working in remote teams
• Experience testing mobile applications
