QA Engineer

We are looking for a middle level QA to join our team to participate in several of our projects.

We are looking for those who:

• Understand and apply various types of testing in practice
• Create a testing plan for a specific task or an entire application before testing
• Analyze task requirements, identify inaccuracies and contradictions, and take action to resolve them
• Have practical experience testing API using Postman, Swagger or similar tools
• Proficient in technology and tools for testing web applications, and able to gather additional information about an issue using Chrome DevTools
• Understand the software development life cycle and the role of QA in the process
• Understand the technology of web application development and the relationship between individual components
• Describe steps for reproducing found defects, collecting and providing enough information for localization and resolution of the problem.
• Discusses recurring quality issues with the team, proposes solutions, and monitors their implementation.
• Has a confirmed level of English B2-C1
• Has experience working in teams using Agile methodologies.

Would be a plus:

• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript.
• Ability to compose and execute SQL queries.
• Practical skills working with Git.
• Experience in project documentation (checklists, user instructions, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of automated web application testing using Cypress.
• Familiarity with technology and tools for testing mobile applications.
• Ability to manage quality not only at the task level.

Will be responsible for:

• Manual testing of web application interfaces, API, mobile applications.
• Defect description.
• Preparing test instructions.
• Preparing test plans.
• Keeping reports on work done.

Terms and conditions

• Place of residence is not in Russia or Belarus.
• It is either self-employment or working as an individual entrepreneur. 
• Projects are for up to 6 months, with the possibility of transitioning to other projects later. 
• Payment is in US dollars from an American company. 
• Hourly rate is between $10-20, depending on your experience and skills.
• The job involves working with the Time Doctor tracker from 4 up 8 hours per day. We will consider different employment options.
