Frontend developer (JS, Ember)

We’re a growing international company from Helsinki (Finland) that helps online stores by automating the discovery and embedding of product videos. We have a distributed system based on cloud platforms and services that we would like to develop above and beyond. The system consists of several products, both public faced and internal ones. As a part of the development team, you will participate in new features development in one particular product or a product group. Currently we’re looking for an engineer who would be able to work on the Widget development (lit-element based) or our internal tools (Ember.js-based).

What you’ll do:

• New tools for the curation team
• Improving the existing UIs
• Code refactoring
• Bring your expertise and agile problem solving to a wide variety of products and tasks

We’re looking for a skilled frontend engineer with the following requirements

• 3+ years of experience in web development, including decent experience and knowledge in frontend — development experience with modern frameworks (Angular, Ember or similar) is required, including solid understanding of how the underlaying technologies work in general (WebComponents, Virtual DOM, reactive rendering, etc)
• Knowledge of someapplication design and development patterns and principles and the ability to apply them
• Knowledge of OOP, FP, SOLID, DRY
• Good understanding of how to debug and profile the code, find bottlenecks in performance
• Ability and willingness to take ownership of some parts of the system
• Ability to write, read and speak in English (B1+ is required)
• Commitment to neat and beautiful code
