iOS/React Native Developer - Babylon Voice (AI & VoicePrint for Metaverse)

We are seeking a full-time React Native / iOS mobile app Developer with experience in iOS, AI, and Web3 to join our team. 2+ years of iOS in React-Native-based app development is a must. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mobile applications for the iOS platform using React Native, as well as a passion for creating intuitive and user-friendly experiences. Must have published at least 1 major React Native, Expo iOS app.

Babylon Voice by Manan AI provides a secure, voice-based solution for accessing the Metaverse using AI and Web3 technology, what the Face ID does for iPhone. Our team has strong backgrounds (Stanford, AWS, Disney, Telegram) and is advised by a former partner at a16z. Our goal is to make it easier for the next billion users to access the Metaverse by providing a convenient and secure voice ID system and media wallet with VoicePrint. Our solution enables users to easily and quickly access the Metaverse without worrying about identity hacks or scams. We're a team of amazing millennial entrepreneurs, devs, AI scientists that are working on solving the task of AI for metaverse, games, wallets, and dApps. We work with data from a wide variety of sources including voice, media, and text. The team has several US professors as advisors with expertise in ML, and stochastic control who provide mentorship, and research in real-world VoicePrint, Voice Style, NLU/P, conversational AI, voice/dialog systems. Your contributions will drive content discovery and personalization through voice/video/summary interactions across apps, devices (e.g. Xbox, Oculus, Alexa, Google Home, Tesla, etc.), and automotive products.

Responsibilities and what we are looking for:

• Launch Product: VoicePrint as VoiceID based on AI, Recording, Voice Style Clone, and Synthetic Media for web3 Metaverse, Gaming, and web2 Social Media (IG, Snap, Youtube, News), Podcast-related initiatives, Content landscape and how users engage with podcasts, rooms, videos, etc;
• iOS React Native criteria for voice performance evaluation (R&D in Voice recognition, Synthesize voice across languages and variety of voices in all supported dialects) on Apple Store;
• Research, design, experiment with, and build iOS and cross-platform with React Native, particularly related to voice;
• Prototype New Features end-to-end, including storage, AI microservices, business logic, and user experience;
• Assemble prototypes and MVP from the AI team, compress models and optimize inference for mobile;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features;
• Ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications. Identifying and fixing bugs and issues in a timely manner, measuring AB test results;
• Familiarity with the Web3/crypto ecosystem (smart contracts, Ethereum architecture, etc.);
• Initial work could be done remotely with daily Zoom standups, weekly Looms with a full team, and in-person meetings. Preferably you would be located and work in our New York, NY office;

About You:

• Advanced STEM degree: MS or BD Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and 3-years full-time Software Engineering iOS experience, WHICH INCLUDES 2-years total technical software engineering experience in one or more of the following areas: React Native & Expo iOS / iOS SWIFT, iOS Objective C;
• Preferred: Buck/Bazel, Cross-platform (iOS and Android). Develop, test, and maintain native SDK (software development kit) on iOS and Android mobile platforms;
• Strong background working with frameworks including Expo, React Native, Stream, and Web View components: Objective-C, Server-Side SWIFT, UIKit, and the iOS or tvOS SDKs, Spring boot Microservices in JavaScript, SQL, AWS, Heroku, TypeScript, and React-native for backend services and APIs;
• Experience with Postgres and cloud platforms including Google Cloud Platform and web3 Auth, Unstoppable domain for Auth. Experience building, running, and updating testing frameworks on the client and server sides;
• Knowledge of implementing and supporting RESTful APIs and running a multi-deploy process using local, staging, and production environments - including maintaining multiple app testing environments
• Familiarity with the Web3/crypto ecosystem (smart contracts, Ethereum architecture, etc.);
• Extensive experience utilizing React Native for Web3, or gaming Unity, ML/AI methodologies, and tech pipelines;
• Senior Software engineer with a focus on iOS application and SDK development using React Native;
• Experience with SDK development and API design;
• Familiarity with a variety of app architectures: MVC, MVVM, MVP, etc;
• Experience with implementing SIP, RMQ, and WebSocket clients, Experience integrating with libraries written in C/C++;
• Familiarity with AWS or another cloud infrastructure provider (GCP, Azure), Tech: Kafka, Airflow, Composer;
• Proficiency with distributed processing and warehousing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Tez, etc.);
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with non-tech team members and stakeholders;
• Self-motivated, growth-oriented, and driven to pursue solutions to challenging problems;
• A big "Plus" Deeply curious; interested in how people interact with content, and podcasts specifically. Though not required, previous experience in media, entertainment, or technology is a plus. You are located anywhere. You speak and write English (B2+) is a must;
• To be successful in this role, you should have at least 2-3 years of experience in iOS development and a strong understanding of React Native. You should also have strong attention to detail and a commitment to creating high-quality products.
