Data Scientist

Fordewind Group is a fast-growing finance company focused on investment in alternative assets (SME fixed income products) and investment banking services. The company is founded and led by highly experienced financial professionals (ex. J.P. Morgan, UBS, VTB Capital, Sberbank CIB, EY, KMPG). We are looking for junior and middle data scientists to join a new department of computer science and accelerate the firm’s expansion, providing an opportunity to dive deep into multiple practices, exclusive team spirit, challenging tasks and chance to grow into leadership role quickly.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Data mining; 

• Preprocessing of data; 

• Development of ML-models; 

• Maintenance and development of current projects; 

• Business development streams and critical review of new business opportunities. 

Requirements: 

• Strong knowledge of Python (including numpy, pandas, sklearn); 

• Understanding of machine-learning algorithms; 

• Excellent knowledge of math and statistics; 

• Top of the class with preferences given to faculties with in-depth study of mathematics/physics (HSE, NES, MSU, MIPT); 

• Fluency in English; 

• Understanding of corporate finance, economics, and accounting concepts (CFA, ACCA, CAIA) is a plus.
