Position Summary

We are looking for a talented Manual QA Test Engineer capable to understand our company’s sophisticated technical applications to carry out testing before delivery to clients. This position also offers the opportunity to work in a highly talented and dynamic team of engineers to deliver widely used enterprise applications. It also offers the opportunity to participate in client implementation projects to implement automated testing using Esprow’s applications. The job requires the ability to work in a small, distributed team environment and to deliver on-time and on-quality results. The position may require from time to time to help resolving clients’ technical support requests by email and web meetings.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to QA testing efforts of Esprow’s products carry out testing of new product features and liaising with the project manager and development teams to resolve issues before release to clients.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. If necessary, communicate with internal teams or clients to identify system requirements and expected system behaviour.
  • Analyse test results to ensure quality of the software and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with manual and/or automated QA testing of desktop and web applications.
  • Experience creating and maintaining test plans and executing tests before product releases.
  • Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
  • Bachelor's/College Degree, Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
     

Bonus Skills (optional, but would be a plus):

  • Knowledge of the FIX protocol and experience with FIX testing tools.
  • Familiarity with messaging protocol concepts such as request/reply, subscriptions, dictionaries, message structure, transports (at least TCP), and so on.
  • Customer support related experience.
