Tech Lead (Python/JS/React)

Paxful is a people-powered marketplace for money transfers with anyone, anywhere, at any time. Born in 2015, we have over 4.5 million users globally who you can instantly buy and sell Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT) with over 300 different payment methods.

Project:

With bringing more vendors to P2P marketplace and other Paxful products the platfrom is changing from B2C to also support B2B. It leads to the challenge for engineering team to provide comfortable development invironment to integrators and ISVs with good API, SDK, infrastructure for testing and configuring the integration. All it ends up in development console providing all the tools for building, testing and delivering the integration to production to build joint business of Paxful and its partners.

What will the role do?

- Design architecture before implementation of new complex features or services
- Mentor other teammates and help them solve tasks on design and code review stages
- Write simple but efficient, testable, and reusable code
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
- Work closely with stakeholders on product features
- Be responsible for a feature end-to-end, from ideation to deployment in the production environment
- Help to troubleshoot, test and maintain the product

• Drive building Dev console, public API and SDK to engage more integrators
• Design, build and maintain applications
• Take part in grooming sessions and estimate the efforts for the team
• Plan team activities with Product Managers
• Closely work with teammates to solve tasks and reach sprint goals
• Write clean, secure, maintainable, testable and modular code
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
• Help to troubleshoot, test and maintain the product
• Follow company coding standards
• Perform code reviews and mentor your peers
• Cover your code with tests

Requirements:

• 3+ years on the position of TeamLead/TechLead/Architect
• 8+ years of the commercial web development (Python/JS/React)
• Strong knowledge and skills in Python 3.8+
• Hands-on experience of building public API/SDK for your product
• Experience with one of frameworks FastAPI/Django/Flask
• Experience with ReactJS, Redux, Typescript
• Good knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL or MySQL)
• Experience of building distributed applications using RabbitMQ, Kafka or other message buses
• Experience with microservices
• Good understanding of security threats and “security by design” principles
• Good verbal and written English

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• Working with the high-load systems
• Experience with NoSQL databases - MongoDB
• Experience with AWS and knowledge of AWS architecture patterns
• Interest in cryptocurrencies
