• Built a RAG system for the in-app grammar assistant: semantic search over lessons, vocabulary and explanations with multilingual embeddings and pgvector, so answers are grounded in course content
• Built REST API endpoints in Python for lessons, vocabulary and user progress, used by the mobile app
• Added caching for lesson content, reducing response time from ~400 ms to ~30 ms
• Covered core endpoints with pytest unit and integration tests
