● Tech blocker resolving: Scaled the processing of analytical events by implementing Kafka,

found a super-cost-effective way to protect against the failure of the main CDN, and

removed the critical load from the main relational database by transferring the most

frequent queries to an autoscaling Key-value database.

● Process and metrics: I implemented planning, decomposition, and operational processes in product

development. I would have liked to achieve greater speedup, but not everything was achieved. An

incident response plan, all processes, roles, and actions were created from scratch, and uptime was

significantly improved in a short period of tim (98.3%->99.6).

● OrgChart and Hiring: I had 40 people reporting to me. I replaced a third of them and hired all three

team leads, as well as all four technical leads and architects. I split the giant development team into

three, making them self-sufficient and independent. The hiring pipeline and criteria for all roles have

been redesigned. A mandatory AI stage was added. New features and IACs are written and tested using

AI tools.

● Security and compliance: I built processes, found contractors, and received SOC 2 Type 2 certification

in record time with a super-efficient budget(partially automated with the AI tools). A process for

processing customer requests was also built using a knowledge base and the reuse of historical data.

● Interim Product Management: temporarily replaced the Head of Technology/Product

Planning. Solved the problem of low efficiency in the largest market (region) by opening a

new PoP – a distribution center in North America- which allowed the company to become a

top-three company in terms of latency(key product metric). Split a general-purpose

continued product, which poorly addressed specific needs, into more specific ones (proxies for session

work/browsers and for generic scraping).

● Industry research and blogging: Developed an automated system for testing and comparing

key metrics: latency, unique address pool size, pool overlap size, and address quality for

competitors (top 10 vendors in the industry). This helped create sales battle cards and gain

a clearer picture of strengths and weaknesses of the product.

Integrating purchased solutions and scaling our own:Integrated a purchased,

ready-made business and engineering solution for ISP proxy, simplified it, and reduced

runtime and support costs. Streamlined processes and implemented an asset database.

Overcame the limitations of the primary storage for nodes (MongoDB), which was

behaving unpredictably and degrading service.

● Adopted OrgChart and hiring: Successfully integrated OrgChart to streamline team structure, leading

to improved clarity and alignment across departments. There were about forty people on the team, half

of which had to be replaced. Led the recruitment of key technical talent to tackle critical challenges in

redundancy, performance, and scalability. Domain Expertise: Rapidly mastered new domains in Data

Extraction and Proxy Technologies, ensuring a deeper understanding of technical requirements.
