Key aim: Create a story about me with natural language.

“To analyze” when you hear that, what do you think? Understanding a problem, understanding a pattern, understanding a trend – the key is understanding. And that is what I love about data analytics work. When you help people understand each other and help them move somewhere that they really want to. It is the greatest feeling that I experienced.

My data analytics journey starts from words: “Do you know Excel? Are you capable of VLOOKUP?”

O’KEY LLC using spreadsheets to help all buyer’s department to solve immediate problems:

1. Compare prices with competitors.

2. Help to autofill some standard matrix.

3. Help with different government checks.

Nothing special, but it was only the beginning. I started to get curious about all the data and all the problems and what lead to them. My job is getting more and more complex. Automating reports using macroses, analyzing shelf turnover and many more things than I got recognized by the very big team X5 Retail Group. And new challenges incoming:

1. Creating cross-department point of truth.

2. Implementing new metrics and KPIs.

3. Forecasting sales volume and margin.

4. Presenting findings to the team,

Now I am in the ICNX marketing agency, due to the business nature of the agency, I can work with more clients, more problems, more responsibilities that make me grow. In the future I see myself still willing to know a lot more and become a senior to guide informed and data-driven decisions.

The key skill of a data analyst is a storytelling and I hope that I tell my story well.

Summarize:

I am considering myself mostly like “multitasking artist” that not only gather, transform and analyzing data but also taking different roles: motivational speaker, team leader, team builder, project manager, coach etc. I will take any role and responsibility to help company make better decisions and get things done, because it’s so interesting and exciting!
